Alexandra Theatre - Birmingham
Steve Suffolk: 28 September - I came to the Birmingham show last night with 5 other 40 something’s and a 15 year old lad who, after discovering my old genesis collection, has become a bigger fan than any of us. I wanted to say that we were blown away by the performance. Having seen Genesis live 3 times and never having seen any type of tribute band before I wasn’t sure what to expect. You have our absolute congratulations and support for producing some of the best live music any of us had ever heard before. Thanks for a great night………sorry there weren’t more Brummies there for you. Regards and we look forward to seeing you next time. Steve, Joy, Ben, Andy, Alison, Debbie and Nick

Paul Reeves: 28 September - Hi Dave, I sent you an e-mail recently with ref the Peterborugh gig, because I live in Brum I was always going to go to the local one I was able to go to the Peterborough one because it was at the weekend and Im pleased I did. Im sure you will agree and enjoyed the Peterborough one more, wether it was the lack of advertising by the theatre or lack of interest by the Midlanders to support you I don`t know, maybe the city centre is not he answer? I felt embarrassed as well as disappointed for yourselves, don`t drop the midlands from your tour please. I hope you all are able to put behind you the Birmingham experience and get better support in the south , see you in Cannock and folowing Jeffs advice I am taking friends to that one. Regards Paul Reeves

Steve Wallace: 28 September - Just to say, we came to see your show at the Alexander Birmingham last night 27th September 05, and you completely blew me and my 19 year old son away! I have seen Genesis live three times, the only difference being you played stuff I never saw performed live. I just can't say thank you enough, please come back to Brum agen! Will see you in Cannock 26th November.

Steve Hammond: 28 September - Hello David, I really felt for you guys last night as you gave your usual all to just over a hundred of us. I rushed from a course that finished at 6.45, 20 miles away and arrived just as Watcher was ending. In the first half the keyboards weren't very clear but your performances were as good as ever. Obviously the smaller crowd in a larger theatre didn't help you but you all still gave us great entertainment. My mate who saw you at Oakengates for the first time noticed the difference; you were really on fire that night. Another mate joined us for his first taste of G2 and he was really impressed. Jeff articulated what a lot of body language on stage was saying and I was thinking about it as I drove home. Don't give up hope. I'm sure that Cannock will be a great evening and a much bigger crowd. Take care, Steve

Ian MacPherson: 04 October - Hi Dave, Many thanks for a superb show in Birmingham last week; only sorry we couldn't hang around afterward for a quick chat: two shattered kids! I trust the promoter has been summarily shot or something equally appropriate; I know you were incredibly disappointed with the audience numbers and given that that was the case, it is even more amazing that you still put on a show with such energy and commitment. It is surely the case that simply enough people did not know about the gig although I did receive a leaflet from the Alexandria the Thursday beforehand. I just hope that this sort of thing does not put you off but of course it must be disheartening given the investment, both emotional and financial, (to say nothing of your time) that you and the guys have made over many years, when this sort of thing occurs.

I hope to see you and the guys again very soon for my Genesis fix, superbly rendered and delivered with the passion and joie de vivre we have all come to know and love. Very Best Regards, Ian

Anthony Casey: 29 November - Hi guys, really enjoyed your show down in birmingham! My dad and i were the two in the crowd from newcastle. We've been to the key theatre in peterborough to see G2 (which was a great venue), also down in leeds last year. Quite a bit of travelling! It'd be great to see you playing more local gigs. I was also wondering if you'd ever play stagnation or the knife? Hope to hear from you soon, cheers anthony.

Cheese & Grain - Frome - Somerset
Ted: 03 November - Guys, Thanks for last night @ FROME, Somerset (Poor turn out from the Yokels tho). My son & I really enjoyed it. Any chance of playing nearer Bristol in the future? Again many thanks and keep it up... Regards Ted Mould

Duncan Reid: 03 November - Hello David, Saw you last September in Cardiff and the gig made such an impression I have been craving to repeat the experience ever since. I have been keeping a close eye on your schedule all year and made the drive over from South Wales last night to see you again in Frome. I'm really thrilled to say that the performance lived up to my (very) high expectations.

The choice of songs was superb and once more covered the classical Genesis era. I was again simply amazed how you reproduce so accurately the detail and quality of what is very technical and complex music. However I couldn't help feeling disappointed for you by the extremely poor turn out. For the amount of effort that you guys put in I'm sure you must have asked yourself "was it worth it?" If it did affect your morale you certainly didn’t let it show. Thanks very much it was tremendous!

Any Genesis fan who is tempted to go to a G2 concert - don't hesitate you will not be disappointed. Duncan Reid.

Mark Everett: 05 November - Hi All, Just to say thanks very much for bringing Genesis to Frome. It was a great performance and a brilliant evening. It was a shame that more Fromites didn't turn out to see you and I hope that doesn't put you off coming back! I only saw Genesis live once and that was at Knebworth in '77, I think. Your act certainly revived those distant memories, and your reproduction was absolutely amazing. It was a wonder to watch and listen to and I really hope to catch up with more of your shows. I will also be telling everybody in Frome how they missed out on a great night of truly authentic music. Thanks very much Best Regards Mark Everett

Steve Richardson: 05 November - Hi Piers saw your gig at Frome on wed another fantastic performance. Also at Astoria on friday same remarks as before. I was the midget at the front at frome astounded at such skill. HOPE you get a far bigger turnout for the Brook in dec I will be there for sure. Keep on playing. All the best Steve.

Nic: 06 November - Hello chaps, Just a thankyou, really. My wife and I have enjoyed 2 of your performances this year and look forward to more in the future. We seen you in the Wyvern Theatre (Swindon) and more recently in the Cheese and Grain Market, Frome. It was such a shame about the poor turn-out at Frome, but rest assured those of us in the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show nonetheless. We had seen Genesis before on two occasions, but as our favourite era of their music is the 70s, we find that your shows are more to our taste. I started to lose interest after 1980! Keep the faith, and wishing you the best of luck in your future gigs. Many thanks! Yours sincerely, Nic & Kim Walker

Colin Leppard: 09 November - Dear all, Just to say thanks for playing such a superb set last Wednesday in Frome. I am so sorry that there was not a better turn out. I really don't know why. However, you did not appear to let it affect your performance and those of us who were there greatly appreciated it! Thanks! Absolutely superb! I saw the post Hackett Genesis twice and I enjoyed your set far more! That Gabriel/Hackett stuff is still quite awsome! I will keep my eyes open for other Bristol/Somerset area gigs. Regards Colin (one contented G2 fan!)

Sally: 24 February - Hi guys. I was at the Frome concert in November 2005. My birthday treat from big bruv. What better way to spend an evening. I was incredibly moved by your perfect renditions of 'carpet crawlers' and 'suppers ready', amongst many other favourites. All those lonely teenage years spent in my bedroom, listening to Genesis through the headphones, in my own little world, you recreated brilliantly for me. It was better than the real thing. It really felt like you did it all for me and no one else. I can't wait to see you guys perform again. Sorry there wasn't much of a turn out that night, but as true professionals you didn't let it affect your performance; you may as well have been playing in front of 20,000 fans the way you presented the evening. Well done lads. Please come back to this area soon. Please please please... Sally

Fairfield Concert Hall - Croydon - Surrey
Nic Ford: 12 June - Thanks for a great concert last night at the Fairfield Halls. The nostalgia almost brought tears to my eyes - well in fact it did. Nic Ford

Mike Caplin: 12 June - Well Guys, You've done it again. You surpassed my expectations yet again. It has to be said that every time I see you in concert you get better & better. Great to see/hear some different tracks that I've not seen before (Entangled, Dancing With the Moonlit Knight). Jeff was in full 'Animal' mode. The stick acrobatics were particularly interesting ("You'll have someone's eye out with that young man!!") As DW will know, I was almost unable to attend due to a clash with my 9 year old daughter's birthday party, but, fortunately for all concerned, I was given leave of absence & even brought three friends along (two G2 virgins who were suitably impressed despite their usual fare being a darn sight heavier - "Where's the mosh pit?")

Fairfield Concert Hall is a great venue with fantastic acoustics & your sound system was well up to the job. Being in the front row we were engulfed in fog a couple of times but I suppose that saves you being put off by our ugly mugs. It has to be said that I enjoyed your gig more than the last one I attented at FH (& that was the wonderful Mr S Hackett! - praise indeed) Anyway guys - keep the Genesis fire burning. Hope to see you somewhere in this area again in the not too distant. Cheers, Mike Caplin

Dave: 12 June - Hi Piers, saw u at Fairfield Halls last night, just had to drop u a line to say how much I enjoyed the show, particularly Firth of Fifth (I have seen Banks screw that up before drury lane i think). Anyways pass on thanks to the rest of the gang and as a "Gabrielist" how about Harold the Barrel or Fountain of Salmacis, cos I reckon looking at the audiences a lot would have been into some even earlier stuff, i.e the knife or even stuff from Genesis to Revelation, the first ever album i bought, ( SHOWING MY AGE THERE). Great show but go backwards not forwards musically. Cheers n Beers Dave.J.

Lesley: 12 June - Had a great night, once again you were all great, the audience really enjoyed the show, I'm laying on a coach for the Peterborough gig, as I know quite a crowd that want to see G2, Lesley

Nigel Cubbage: 14 June - Blimey! What a night! Absolutely fantastic performance from the whole band – really knowledgeable crowd too who appreciated the genius of some of your work. Cinema Showstopper! How the hell did Jeff not miss a beat when he lost a drumstick!!! The man is inhuman – I don’t think I’ve seen a better drummer. Having not seen you since Isle of Wight last year, the set had altered a little but no disappointments – if anything, even better! Starting with Watcher of the Skies was a great move – got everyone right up for it from the off, and you do it so well.

So many favourites – Chris’ acoustics were wonderful; I loved the WAW end to part 1 and Lamb section in part 2; Suppers Ready was, as ever, just gobsmackingly good – and Terry should persist with the cape and hood! The atmosphere and the thrill round the audience when he emerged were great, regardless of whether “666” was audible!! Loved it – hope to make Dartford in a couple of weeks. And you seem to be encouraging a new generation of fans, if the 13 yr-old with her Dad a few seats along was anything to go by. Live the dream! Nigel

Gary Bruce: 14 June - Firstly I wanted to say what a fantastic show you put on at Fairfield Halls on Saturday. I dragged along a mate who was not a Genesis fan and he was 'blown away' by the quality of the musicianship (in fact he e-mailed me yesterday to say he'd been to HMV and bought 'Trick', 'Wind' & Foxtrot on CD on the back of the performance). Having seen you all before, I knew it would be good, but never expected it to be so tightly knit together. The whole band seemed much more relaxed, the banter worked well and there were so many smiles on everyone's faces that it was clear that you were all having a fantastic time.

Chris and Dave held the strings together with consummate professionalism, Terry sang his heart out (but probably with a bit more feeling & sensitivity than I've noticed previously), Piers totally mastered the keys and Jeff was absolutely awesome on the drums...particularly during the drum solo through to Los Endos. I happened to have my camera with me so snapped away happily throughout (unfortunately, nowhere near the quality of the kit in the hands of the young lady in the front row). However, some of the shots came out reasonably well so feel free to use them on the web-site if you'd like to (I'll send copies in a separate e-mail shortly). Thanks again guys and keep up the great work. Best wishes and kind regards. Gary Bruce

Harry Spratt: 30 June - Dear All, Harry here (the 12 year old guitarist) I came to see you at croydon with my dad and a freind of his , it was excellent. But we did have a bloke sitting behind us who was shouting out and trying to sing along,YUK but at least he was enjoying himself. I`m learning "cinema show " on my new flying v guitar but it will probably take 20 years to become as good as Chris! I saw you yesterday and was shattered for school ,It was worth it. dad bought a shirt. Piers did very well although he made the one small mistake, but my dad said he would make mistakes even if he tried to hum it. I liked jeffs hard hat! we are already planning to come to Peterborough. see you then Harry and Rick

Key Theatre - Peterborough
Martin Humphreys: 26 September - Dear David, the end of another great show, just a pity there were so many empty seats, your peformance demands a full house every time, but i guess there are still a lot of people out there who still havn,t heard of you & what you are doing......( i only heard of you last year for the first time, & many people i,ve spoken to hav,nt heard of you either, but i am spreading the word ! ) Hope you can continue, it will be a sad day if you decide its time to call it a day due to costs etc, etc even the minor "gliches" & couple of hiccups on Saturday didn,t spoil our enjoyment, can,t praise you enough! All the very best............ Martin & Mandy

Paul Reeves: 26 September - Hi Dave, I live in Birmingham and for sometime penciled in the gig in Peterborough you certainly didn`t disappoint, yet again things have slightly changed Im thinking of Terry dressing up towards the end. I`ve said before and please pass on to the lads backstage as well how much this is enjoyed by many die hard fans. Please keep up the good work! Regards Paul Reeves

Dave Adams: 27 September - I am just writing to say how much I enjoyed the performance at the Key Theatre, Peterborough on Saturday night. The guys we brilliant as usual, all my favourite Genesis tracks were included (Except "One for the Vine") Can't wait to see them again soon. Good luck for the rest of the tour. Keep up the good work. Dave Adams

Heather Richards: 27 September - Just a note to say thank you for a fantastic night at the Key Theatre in Peterborough. I now know what's been missing in my life - LIVE MUSIC!! It was a pleasure to see such accomplished musicians obviously enjoying every minute. I'll make sure I see you at every possible opportunity (hope to make it to Southampton) and I eagerly await the delivery of my CDs. Keep up the good work! Many Many Thanks Heather

Alison Williams: 04 October - Hi Just wanted to say how FANTASTIC you all were in Peterborough!! Loved the programme -now wearing my G2 Tshirt!! Might manage Cannock yet! The date in France -(my birthday actually!) sounds very exotic and tempting. Will be sure to catch you again -it was a night to remember. Thanks and very best wishes to you all Alison

Joanne Colverson: 25 October - Hi David. It's half term so I've finally found time to say how fantastic Peterborough was a month ago - superb and spot on. A brilliant time was had by all - great to meet you and Terry afterwards and have a good chat - look forward to the next time. Scott was playing around on his guitar the other day and just for a second it sounded like he was going to play Blood on the rooftops! G2 and Genesis are in him! Thanks for the emails - we're keeping a close eye on your show dates for next year. Kind regards Jo

Oakengates Theatre - Oakengates - Telford
Mike Brialey: 28 May - Gents. Just wanted to say thanks for last nights gig in Telford, we had a great time in the front row. We hadn't seen you guys before and frankly came along with more than a little trepidation :-) Having been lucky enough to see Genesis 5 times it was a worry that anything else would have been a let down. But far from it, you were fantastic. It was madness that the venue was half full. I'm sure that if the people of Telford had any inkling of how good you were they would have come in coach loads. Looking forward to your next gig in the area. All the best, keep it up for all us Genesis starved fans out there. Mike Brialey PS and my wife fancied your drummer (that never happened at a Genesis concert lol)

Robert Wyatt: 28 May - What can I say, I am in awe! I have not been to a tribute concert before so didn't know what to expect. I have been following Genesis since 1979, and have bought most of their albums since then. I have decided that the 70's were their best period, as I much prefer the long instrumentals. In fact I was introduced to the early stuff when I got the Seconds Out album, and realised that I needed to hear more of this type of music. My big regret is that I never did get to see them live. When I was married my wife & I kept promising ourselves that we would go to a concert, but it was never to be.

When I saw the G2 gig advertised in the Shrewsbury Admag, I thought that this was one chance to relive my youth I couldn't miss. So I looked up the web site to see a bit more about them. I was impressed with the reviews so I knew I had to go. I wasn't disappointed. The opening with Watcher was awesome. The lightshow set the scene and made it feel so real. The songs came one by one exactly as if I was listening to a cd. Note for note perfection. I couldn't believe I was only watching a tribute band. This to me could have been the real thing. If I closed my eyes it could have been. When I opened them I could have sworn that was Phil Collins singing and Tony Banks on keyboard. I have been hooked now and hope to see the guys again when they visit Cannock later in the year. I will have to buy some of their CDs to add to my collection as this is as near to Genesis as we will get now. Bob Wyatt

Tim Nicholson: 28 May - To all involved in last nights show in Telford. I'm sure there are millions of people out there who would pay an awful lot of money to see Genesis perform together again for one night, myself included, but it will never happen. Quite frankly It doesn't bother me, I've seen them plenty of times and I can honestly say I get just as excited about watching you as I did watching them 30 years ago. I've seen you four times and each show has been better than the last one. What is very noticeable is how much more confident you all look on stage and its great to see you smiling and enjoying yourselves (obviously Piers is smiling inwardly).

The quality of the playing and sound was better than ever in every respect, I shut my eyes at one point, what I heard was a stunning musical performance that no one and I mean no one could improve on. Tony Banks and Co should be honoured that there is such a dedicated professional and talented group of people who are able to perform their music with the same passion and skill as they did. Tim Nicholson

Steve Hammond: 29 May - Hello to all of G2, Thank you once more for a fantastic evening's entertainment on Friday. This time I was joined by my wife, 2 sons (14 & 11) and a friend and all of us really enjoyed ourselves. Two and a half hours flew by, even in the sweltering heat and we can't wait to see you all again at Cannock in November. Julie preferred you to The Musical Box although the rest of us want to have our cake and eat it and liked both equally, for different reasons. This being my 5th G2 show, I was pleased to see a few changes in the set. It was great to hear Ripples and Robbery again. Cinema Show went down particularly well and after that you had us eating out of your hands!

For me, you have the mix of Phil era and Peter era songs just right and it's great to hear the banter and to see all the smiles on stage. We all thought that it was a great venue to see and hear G2, with every seat having a good view. The light show was really good so it was a surprise to hear that you had a deputy on the night. Well done too to all the audience, for their support and respect for the band. Too many recent gigs I've seen have been marred by loud talking and people much the worse for drink. Friday was a great performance in a very good theatre with a great atmsophere. If everyone who came on Friday brings a friend to Cannock we can hopefully give you the size of audience that you richly deserve. Regards to all, Steve, Julie, Rich, Tom & Giles

Doug Henderson: 31 May - Well, without sounding a bit girly and gushing, that was bloody marvellous (again)! Helped by the fact that I was starting the holiday weekend as it went on - i.e. bladdered - and the theatre staff threw out the nutter in the seat in front, it just got better and better. Still takes me back to my first copy of "Seconds Out" and realising that NOTHING could ever end a gig better than Los Endos! All you have to do now is go back to opening with Wot Gorilla and life will be complete. I've already booked for the Peterborough gig when I'll be bringing a couple of G2 virgins to show them what they've been missing all these years. It's a pity you didn't make it to the Crown - the nice man let us stay until we had just too much beer before throwing us out. You'll have to plan a stopover next time! Once again, chaps, a great show (ANOTHER great show, I should say) and I'll start saving to book you for my 50th birthday bash. See you in Peterborough!

Owen: 06 June - I cannot believe how much I enjoyed your concert at Telford, though I was a little disappointed at the turnout. I am trying to get some people together to see you all in Swindon. I have seen Genesis twice (and have loved their music since I started listening to music!) and enjoyed your show so much more than the 'originals' that I was astounded. I am comparing to the last two Genesis tours though: I was too young to see the decent tours in the 70's and 80's. I really hope you can carry on and I will endeavour to see the band as much as possible in the future! Thanks for a fantastic evening of music! Owen

Paul Reeves: 06 June - Hi lads. Just another thank you for a brilliant concert this the 3rd time since i discovered the band whilst we have favourites and memories from different tracks my highlight of the evening was "Ripples" I was asked by a friend sitting nearby to shut up and let Terry do his best. This friend I introduced to G2 was an fan of Genesis and marvelled at your reproduction of the sound the following evening he was going to the Albert Hall to see Bruce Springstein and said the Boss would have to go some to beat that gig. Keep up the good work see you in Swindon. Regards Paul Reeves

Orchard Theatre - Dartford - Kent
Jeremy Kirk: 30 June - Guys! Came to the gig at The Orchard last night - FANTASTIC!!!! Saw you there last year and came back for some more this year; this time we had 3rd row seats and it was a great position to watch/listen to you all. You all look like you are enjoying yourselves (we all certainly enjoyed you!); even Piers' little 'blip' on Firth of Fifth was probably more annoying for Piers himself than for any of us - it is an extremely difficult piece of keyboard playing and he did it brilliantly anyway.

The whole sound is spot on and you all play together so tight; the set you put together was a great choice - it is so good to hear 70s Genesis music played live; I had a tear in my eye on several occasions last night - this music has been a big part of my life and I will never stop listening to it (I'm 47 by the way!!!). Keep coming back to The Orchard; there was a great crowd there last night and I was glad to be part of it. Take care, guys, and go and reward yourselves because you deserve it! SUPERB! Best regards, Jeremy Kirk

Alan Hughes: 30 June - To all the G2 team. Came to see you at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford last night. What a superbly executed set (a good moment where Terry placed undue pressure on Piers for the intro of Firth of fifth). Genuinely enjoyed every moment and it looked like you guys did too. Don’t leave it another 2 years before you come back to Dartford – you always go down well there. Alan

Molly: 04 July - Hello, I saw G2 last week at the orchard and I would just like to say I thought you were excellent I wish I could play like that!! We saw you after the show, you may remember us we were the people with the crazy lady who kept talking to you (aka our auntie)!!Also, Do you know if you will be performing at the orchard again soon?? Molly (a really big fan) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Nigel Cubbage: 05 July - Made it to Dartford and was just bowled over again - Bloody fantastic! Even though I've seen you a few times now it is such a treat each time - you are all so good! Watcher, Cinema Show, Afterglow, Supper's ready, Entangled - it's impossible to pick them out but don't stop playing any of them! Piers has some bottle doing that Firth lead-in, particularly after the "set-up" although I'd love to know what he said to Terry immediately afterwards! And the following is getting very loyal. Spoke to a few people in the interval and we'd all seen at least 2 or 3 gigs. This crowd really got into it again like Croydon which was great but at the same time bloody frustrating! My impression is that the crowds this year seem slightly bigger but you deserve to be playing to thousands, not a few hundred! See you soon - enjoy the summer. Nigel

Dave Miles: 10 July - Gentlemen, I had the pleasure of seeing you at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford recently. You were superb. I first saw Genesis in January 1972 and many times after that. I much prefer the earlier music of the band and you did nothing to change my mind. Great rock music never dies and as long as there are bands with musicians as good as you guys memories will live on forever. Long may you continue. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Best Wishes Dave Miles

Palace Theatre - Paignton - Torbay
Simon Kaye: 04 November - To the whole G2 Crew, I cannot begin to tell you how good I thought last night's concert was. I am absolutely speechless... It was totally, BRILLIANT. Yes, it was cold and dingy in there and just 30 to 40 of us at the Palace Avenue Theatre, Paignton.....but it was very 1970's, I thought (theatre to be closed down after Christmas for 9 months for complete refurbishment)

The set was indeed pre 1977 as billed. The pieces you re-created were awesome, very atmospheric, at times heavy and at times beautifully acoustic. Great sound and lighting display I could often hardly tell the difference from the real Genesis of this era, which is the highest compliment I can pay you. You played the very best of the musically acclaimed proper Genesis era - Foxtrot / Selling England by the Pound / Trick of the Tail etc etc. Wonderful Gabriel...esqe moments especially the scene from Revelations and closing section to "Suppers Ready" (ambitious and outstanding for you to play out the 20 odd minute piece in its entirety....VERY moving. Keyboard, guitar, drums and use of wide variety of percussion - superb long keyboard and guitar pieces - All in a Mouse's night / Firth of Fifth - Outstanding - plus accoustic section from "the Lamb" (Steve Hackett recording played during my Wedding, earlier this year).

You looked to have really enjoyed yourself on the night.....as of course, we did. It was very well done and congratulations to you all in the re-creation of a period set and an era, so typical of the early 70's. I would travel anywhere to see you perform again....and will! Very well done! Peter would be dead proud of you! With kind regards Simon J Kaye.

Steve: 04 November - Hi Guys, When my pal invited me to a Genesis tribute band I was extremely skeptical, and when I saw the poor attendance, I figured we’d be in the pub before long. BUT NO I couldn’t leave my seat, you guys were amazing. Farkin Brill!!! I’m not going to wax on lyrically about the evening, just to say that you were just like Genesis (including the odd cock up, which I assume was deliberate). You gave me an immense amount of pleasure last night, I really look forward to seeing you again. Steve Vincent

Chris Carter: 04 November - My wife and I are long Genesis fans and so it was a real treat to see G2 perform for the first time at the Palace Avenue Theatre in Paignton. What a great show it was both in presentation and in the accuracy of reproduction of vintage Genesis numbers. It is obvious that all members of the G2 entourage are professional and talented and clearly enjoy themselves in performing.

I do feel I have to apologise however for the poor turnout. I would hope this will not prevent G2 venturing West to Devon in the future. We travelled from Plymouth to see the show and only found out about it through knowing the performance date via web-site subscription. Perhaps wider advertising would have filled the hall to capacity as the band’s performance deserved.

As a couple of nearly 50 year olds we are probably youngsters in the sense of the resident population of Torbay, but we were the lucky ones last night as the music played took us back to the 1970’s and Genesis at their very best. Please come back and see us again. If not in Torbay, there are venues in Plymouth and Tavistock in Devon that would certainly see a greater turn out. Thanks again for a great evening and PS – the DVD is an excellent souvenir, Chris and Anne Carter

Steve Rowell: 07 February - Hi, just a note to say that we went to see your show at the Palace Theatre Paignton last November and really enjoyed it. A great selection of songs. Seen a few Genesis tribute bands but not heard Entangled or Robbery Assault And Battery before - great stuff! Hope the small crowd hasn't put you off from coming down to Devon in the future. I'm sure you could tell that we really appreciated your performance. There was an article about you in our free newspaper which has a large circulation. However the paper was not issued until Thursday (the day of the concert) and a lot of people didn't receive a copy until the following day, so a lot of fans wouldn't have known about it until too late. All the best for your future gigs. Steve.

Plinston Live - Letchworth Garden City - Herts
Mark Edwards: 19 March - Hello G2, Just a note to thank you for visiitng Letchworth and putting on a great show. It started well, and just kept getting better and better as the night went on. Congratulations to each and very one of you on your mastery of Genesis material. Be sure to visit Letchworth again (and I will bring more friends next time...) Kind Regards, Mark Edwards

Stephen Leitch: 19 March - WELL WHAT CAN I SAY. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME WITHIN A FEW WEEKS THAT IVE SEEN YOU PERFORM FIRST AT THE BROOK AND NOW LETCHWORTH. I THOUGHT YOUR PERFORMANCE AT THE BROOK WAS SUPERB BUT LAST NIGHTS PERFORMANCE JUST BLEW ME AWAY! THE SECOND SET WAS ESPECIALLY GOOD AS YOU MANAGED TO PLAY MANY OF MY FAVOURITE GENESIS TRACKS. SUPPERS READY NEVER SEEMS TO TIRE WITH AGE. SORRY WE DIDNT GET TO MEET AFTER THE GIG BUT I WAS TO BUSY TALKING TO CHRIS, TERRY AND PIERS. HOPEFULLY NEXT TIME. THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TALK TO MY FRIEND AND HIS SON. HARRYS ONLY 12 BUT IS ALREADY A KEEN GUITARIST AND AN AVID G2 FAN. HE WAS PROBABLY THE YOUNGEST PERSON IN THE AUDIENCE AMONGST ALL US OLDIES! GIVE MY REGARDS TO YOUR DRUMMER, HE REALLY IS THE UNSUNG HERO OF G2. IT MUST BE THE FIRST TIME EVER THAT PEOPLE HAVE GOT UP TO DANCE AT A G2 GIG THE WOMEN ESPECIALLY SEEMED TO BE ENJOYING THEMSELVES. JUST WISH I COULD GET THE MISSUS TO COME ALONG. I TOOK HERE TO THE BROOK TO SEE REGENESIS AND SHE HATED IT, SHE THOUGHT THEY WERE AWFUL [DONT TELL PIERS]. REGARDS TO EVERYONE CATCH YOU ALL SOON. BEST WISHES STEVE LEITCH

Sue Prince: 19 March - Saw you last night at plinston, What can i say! Brilliant!!! We have seen you twice and last night was the best, our friends really enjoyed it, Sharon said to me at half time, "If you shut your eyes you would think it was Genesis" So that says it all. My husband and his friend Pete are big fans of Genesis, and they both thought it was awesome. Hope to see you again soon when you are in our area Regards to you all Sue and Andy Prince

Richard Newton: 21 March - Hello, Chaps was at your Plinston Hall concert, Letchworth on Friday 18TH, and just wanted to say thanks for a great rendition - you were all good musicians but your drummer was superb - I reckon even the great PC would be quite impressed. Your versions of the songs were exceptional and very, very close to the real thing - I saw Genesis several times in the eighties and nineties but was too young to be around when they did the Gabriel stuff so it was fantastic to hear it live at last. Come back sometime and I too will be back. Cheers, Richard Newton.

Roger Fleisig: 28 March - Hi Guys - Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent gig at Plinston live. It's been so long since I saw you in concert last September in Folkestone, I was starting to suffer from withdrawal symptoms. But the boys are back in town and what a great gig to remind me exactly what I've been missing. Having also hung around afterwards to offer my limited assistance in helping to pack your gear away (I don't think I'll be applying for my full G2 roadie badge just yet), I now appreciate the time and effort you guys put in to provide us with an evenings entertainment. Thanks once again and I'll catch up with you at Wycombe and also hopefully with a few friends at Dartford. Roger Fleisig

Andy Underhill: 28 March - Hi David, I managed to get to Letchworth sans Kids. I really enjoyed the show, even the improptu dancing. Whilst I was watching I did start to compare G2 and the originals, who in that particular mental debate, lost (!), and it boiled down to a) G2 are particularly good, b) you're performing and they are not, which is a big plus. Anyway, thanks again for another show, it was well worth the 160 mile round trip, and it has left me with two quesitons i) are you coming to Southend soon(ish), where my boys can come too, and ii) a request: Duke's Travels/Dukes End. It would be a great encore. Cheers and thanks

Martin Bullock: 31 March - Hi dont know how to post review so tried here! As an avid early genesis fan since the early 70,s chanced on your site at xmas, looked good so took a flier and booked to see u at plinston March 18th, not realising people still paid such tributes to Genesis. As a traveller from Rotherham "up north" i was astounded by the quality and performance of what u laid on, to what has to be a relatively small audience. Clearly remembering Peter Gabriel and genesis at sheffield city hall around 1972 i have to say in parts your band excedes the original!! Hard to explain to people in 2005 i know, but u can bet ill be back down south later this year to see u all again-fantastic, well done Cheers Martin Bullock

Rick Spratt: 10 April - HELLO ALL, YOU GUYS WERE BRILLIANT AT LETCHWORTH,I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AGAIN AT WYCOMBE IN MAY FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME. WE NEVER TIRE OF SEEING REAL PROFESIONALS PLAYING. I HOPE THE GIG IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE AWFULL EVENT THE NEXT DAY, IE WILL THEY WANT THE HALL FOR A POLLING STATION. MY ANSWER WOULD BE CANCEL THE ELECTION ,YOUR GIG IS FAR BETTER. KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK. RICK SPRATT AND SON, HARRY

Prince of Wales Centre - Cannock - Staffordshire
Andrew Carter: 27 November - Hi Guys. Just got back from the show at The Prince of Wales Centre in Cannock. What a great night!!! I was all ready to come on the bike and the rain started and well...........I was wondering if I should go or not, never having seen you play before. I made the right decision for sure!! I would have regretted not seeing you play for the rest of my life!

You guys are just amazing!!! I was sitting there spellbound by the amazing musicianship, and the overall atmosphere with the lights and perfect sound from the desk. Stunning!!! Took me back to my youth when things were much nicer and less stressful eh? Anyone who has listened to Genesis when they were at their best and playing music that meant something, should get to hear about you, and I am spreading the word!!!

Thank you all for taking the time to do what you do and making people like me who appreciate good music and musicians, a great deal happier! Life has just become that bit better. Thank you for that. See you again soon I hope, Andy from Coventry

Paul Reeves: 27 November - Hi Dave, Im writing this the day after the Cannock gig and what a night that was !.I had doubts about the event going ahead with the weather we have had the week and the poor response you had from the Birmingham gig but I hope the midlanders redeemed themselves in your eyes. Following the comments from Jeff and Chris Im working on trying to persuade the girl friend we can make to Paris if we can afford it, however my next G2 fix will be Colchester. Keep producing those sounds boys, as Ive said in previous messages "Ripples" was brilliant again and thanks for putting it back in. Regards Paul Reeves

Ged Hayes: 27 November - Hi Dave, Just dropping you a line to say what a brilliant night it was at Cannock, I have to say that it was the best G2 gig that I've experienced so far, could it be bettered? I was in two minds as to whether to drive down there but I'm really glad I made the trip. Hope you got home safe and sound. Thanks for a fantastic night of great music, keep it up lad! Thanks again. See you soon. Ged

Stewart Staples: 28 November - Please keep me updated on G2. Saw you at Cannock at the weekend very impressed keep on with the "classics". Look forward to the next time you are in the area.

Steve Hammond: 29 November - Wow! What a fantastic evening. It was great to see G2 finally get the audience that they deserve. 350 of us, many grinning like madmen, cheering and giving thoroughly deserved standing ovations. Great to see more children and women there as well. The band and their backroom boys really reciprocated. The lighting was amazing. This was a stunning performance, that brought a lump to my throat quite a few times. The theatre was perfect for G2. Nice friendly atmosphere, good acoustics, large stage and just the right size. So much better to virtually fill this theatre than to be thinly spread out in a larger theatre like B'ham Alex. Credit to all the people who travelled from Newcastle, Workington et al. Also many thanks to all the band for making time to say hello and give us chance to say thanks after the show. See you all next year, Steve

Doug Henderson: 30 November - Hi David, Without doubt, the best yet. I made it to Peterborough earlier in the year which was pretty damned good (apart from the small audience) but this was simply outstanding. The sound was out of this world - an absolutely spot-on, flawless, perfect mix. And it goes to show how much difference a good audience, who are happy to get involved, can make. I think I've seen this set six times now and you just get better and better (but still no Wot Gorilla!). Fabulous individual performances blending to make an even more fabulous overall show. Really, really good gig. I'll see you again in the new year (and again, and again...) Thanks for another great night out.

John Ariss: 06 December 2005 - Great show at Cannock, thoroughly enjoyed it! Caught me and my brother out by starting at 8, only just caught second half of Watcher. Hope to see you guys again next year. Cheers, John

Mark Graves: 06 December - Hi, I saw you guys at Cannock last month for the first time and was blown away! Your performance exceeded all my expectations. I particularly enjoyed Piers flawless intro to Firth of Fifth. However I have always been curious why you never seem to do any London gigs. I had always assumed you were not from down south and I travelled up from West London for the show. Imagine my surprise when we were told at the end that you were returning to London the next day. So was I! Surely there are some suitable venues in and around the capital? All the Best, Mark Graves

Michael Goodwin: 07 December - Just to reiterate: Cannock was top notch! M

Andy Bee: 07 December - Hi Guys just wanna say that I think I must have saw you at least six times too. Cannock Prince of Wales!!!!!!......what a fantastic night!!! So glad I got front row for that one... Great thanks from me a my family!! P.S. eeeven Piers did a damn good job on Firth of Fifth too. Damn good show ...... Andy, Carol, Ant and Bert

Tim Nicholson: 09 December - To all, last weeks gig at Cannock must be the sixth time I have seen you live, the difference this time was I coerced my 16 year old son into coming with us, I'm not sure how much of a compliment this is but his comments during the interval were " Dead Good better than Baby Shambles" he'd seen them a few weeks earlier and would definitely come and see you again.

For my part Cannock was one of the best gigs I've seen you play the crowd were fantastic particularly the over excitable girl at the back who was really just doing what the more reserved of us wanted to do which was get up and scream with excitement. A very strange thing is happening now, when I listen to the music I can only ever see you performing it, don't get me wrong I'll be first in the queue for Genesis reunion tickets if it happens but as long as you guys are playing I'll be more than happy with that.

Get yourselves up north soon, I seem to be driving further than you to a gig, how about the Limelight again? Thanks for another stunning show. Tim Nicholson

Robin 2 - Bilston - West Midlands
Dave Moreman: 04 March - Hi G2. Just a few lines to say thanks for such a great show at the Robin last night. I had not seen G2 before and I was totally astonished (as I think I told Dave W at the end!). The quality of your performance was unbelievably high - it was just so great to hear all those 70's numbers that I thought I'd never experience 'for real'. I saw Genesis on the last three tours they did (1984 onwards), but missed out on the 'classic' period, so apart from having all the albums (on vinyl!) have had to resort to buying dodgy DVDs off Ebay. (Actually, some of these have been quite good - do you ever use these when working out material? I have a copy of a 'Duke' show at the Lyceum in 1980 filmed entirely from just behind Tony Banks which also features some amazing drum footage. Even so, it doesn't get anywhere near the live experience you gave us last night. I'll try and get to the Telford show as Dave Austin said there may be more smoke in a theatre... :O) Thanks again Dave

John Small: 06 March - Saw your performance at the Robin 2 on Thursday and what a stunning show you put on I was the one asking for Robbery but unfortunately you did not play it but apart from that it didn't spoil a superb evening Thanks very much for keeping those songs live and your version of Suppers Ready was simply awesome Entangled was magnificent , your drummer was unbeleivable and the Firth well what can I say.

Roger Taylor: 08 March - had to email you to say we thoroughly enjoyed robin 2 gig the other night! glad to see piers got all his keyboard playing right! we missed you twice at the telford gigs that were cancelled, so this show was long overdue for us! are you involved in any festivals, genesis events etc this year? look forward to hearing from you. roger taylor & kevin rowland.

Swan Theatre - High Wycombe - Buckinghamshire
Tony Bratt: 05 May - 3rd visit to Wycombe - 3rd time I have seen you guys. It just keeps getting better. I am playing the new double live CD at work now - I need to see Wot Gorilla at your next gig. I dropped you a line when you first played Wycombe asking that you keep going. So glad you did. See you again soon I hope. Kind Regards Tony

Philip Horler: 05 May - Good morning folks, My wife and two friends saw you last night in High Wycombe. Just saying thank you seems a poor reward for what was a superb evening. We had seen "The Musical Box" at the Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago but last night was a quantum leap better. I first saw Genesis at Farnborough Technical College in 1971. I must have seen them dozens of times but never got to see much of them following the departure of Gabriel so I missed "live" some of the period that you represent. I saw them again in Australia in 1985 some 10 years later but by then they were a different band. Last night captured the excitement, energy and sheer enjoyment of a real live gig. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. It was fantastic. Thank you all very much indeed. I look forward to seeing you again. All the best Philip Horler

Sue Brown: 05 May - Hi guys, fantastic show last night in High Wycombe, I haven't shut up about it since! Do put me on the mailing list so I can hopefully get to more shows. + I'm always happy to lend a hand, whether that's shifting gear, selling merchandise, buying beer or supplying chocolate biscuits! See you all soon, Sue

Fiona Giles: 06 May - Took my husband to the Wycombe show last night, as a birthday present. It was the first time either of us have seen G2 and what a fabulous concert! To recreate the amazing Genesis sound with such accuracy and passion - WOW! We're both Genesis fans - and have been since we met in the late seventies. Our teenage daughters also like the music - and we've promised to take them next time we see you - just hope it's not too long till we can! Fiona & David Giles

Rick Spratt: 08 May - I HAVE GOT TO E MAIL YOU TO SAY HOW BRILLIANT THE WYCOMBE SHOW WAS. ON THE WAY IN I WAS TALKING TO A GUY WHO HADN`T SEEN YOU BEFORE, AND WAS TELLING HIM HOW GOOD YOU ARE. HE SAID" WELL I`VE SEEN THE REAL GENESIS 14 TIMES" HE WASN`T HOLDING OUT MUCH HOPE. AFTER THE SHOW HE MADE A POINT OF FINDING ME TO SAY HOW IMPRESSED HE WAS AND THAT HE AND HIS FRIENDS WOULD COME AND SEE THE REST OF YOUR GIGS. IT JUST GOES TO SHOW IF PEOPLE COME ONCE THEY WILL KEEP COMING BACK. RECENTLY I SAW "THE MUSICAL BOX" IN SOUTHAMPTON PERFORMING THE LAMB TOUR. THERE WERE 1500 PEOPLE IN A FULL HOUSE PAYING £20 TO £25 PER TICKET. THEY WERE GOOD, BUT I HAVE TO SAY THEY WEREN`T HALF AS GOOD AS YOU GUYS. I DO PREFER THE SMALLER VENUES YOU DO AS IT GIVES A MUCH MORE INTIMATE ATMOSPHERE SO PERHAPS I SHOULN`T TEMPT YOU TO DO A WORLD TOUR!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU REALLY ARE APPRECIATED! ALL THE BEST RICK AND HARRY.

Mark Wastie: 09 May - Hi G2 Saw you at Wycombe Wed 04th May for the first time. Absolutely Phenomenal. I have seen Genesis a few times, also at the "Six of the best". But you were there all the way. The attention to detail was fantastic. Always loved the keyboard with Genesis, and your Keyboard player is exceptional just brilliant. And really thanks for Supper's Ready Really enjoyed the evening. Thanks Mark

Ronnie: 13 May - Thanks for the superb evening last week. You captured the 'Trick of the Tail', 'Wind and Wuthering' and 'Seconds Out' period of Genesis wonderfully. I really despaired that I would ever hear and see these songs played live as I was barely out of school when Genesis toured with this material. For me, 'And Then There Were Three…' was a great disappointment and Genesis were never the same from that point. Other than the songs you cover from the Gabriel days, I find most of the other tracks on these albums almost unlistenable. So thanks for focusing on the best stuff, good on-stage banter and the looooong set --- a great show altogether. Can't wait to see you again…soon. Ronnie Thompson

Mark Thomas: 20 May - I had not heard of G2 before seeing the details in the Wycombe Swan brochure. I have never been to see any tribute band before. However, I was a big Genesis fan some 30+ years ago and saw them 13 times, starting in venues which were smaller than the Wycombe Town Hall!. I didn't know what to expect from your gig and wasn't even sure I was going (life pressures) right up to the day itself. However, I decided to try and track you down on the internet and quickly found your excellent web site. A few minutes reading that and watching the clip of your Basingstoke gig whetted my appetite.

I persuaded my 17 year old daughter to come with me. She has been inculcated with Genesis LPs and now regularly plays those and Peter Gabriel records, entirely off her own bat. She doesn't know all their stuff, as I have only recently started replacing one or two of the knackered cassettes/vinyl for CD's. Therefore, she knew nothing from Wind & Wuthering.

As we left the car park we bumped into a very friendly 45+ year old guy in a G2 T shirt, who chatted enthusiastically about you. I think he said that he had seen 4 different Genesis tribute bands, but that you guys were by far the best. When we arrived at the Town Hall, I was immediately struck by the age of the audience (all ages, but predominantly 45+ men) and also by their friendly welcome and enthusiasm for you. All the people we spoke to had seen you before and had brought friends this time (or were being brought for the first time by friends who had been before). The only down side of the audience, was that it is the first time I can remember going to a concert where the queue for the gents was round the block, whilst the ladies was apparently almost empty! Obviously a reflection on our age and gender.

Then the music started. I can't tell you the warm glow that welled up inside me on hearing the opening bars to "Watcher...". I was transported back to Slough College in 1971 and many other venues. I was then able to witness and enjoy something that I thought was lost and would never be seen or enjoyed again. The attention to detail and the musicianship displayed were beyond my wildest expectation. I felt then, and still do, whilst writing this note, very emotional at being able to share the gig with my daughter, who is music mad and loves all sorts of bands. She could not believe how precise the reproduction was or how such a rich sound could be produced by 5 musicians (with due appreciation to the technical team). I have felt a real glow over the last couple of weeks and, even if the band split tomorrow and never played again, I have had two and a half hours re-living some of the best parts of my formative years. For that, I can't thank you enough.

Where do we go from here? I look forward to receiving your update and information on future gigs (I can't believe that you have have all attained the level of technical expertise and are only playing one gig a month together on average). I will certainly be rounding up old friends of mine who shared the 1970s Genesis experience to take them to the next show that's within reasonable striking distance of home (Maidenhead). I would also love to chat to you guys at some time. It was clear that you seemed to enjoy talking to the audience, although that must become wearisome when you must hear all the same comments and questions being repeated. (Having said that, if you were bored stiff of Genesis related discussions, I'm sure you would be in a different type of band!). I would love to hear more about why you include/exclude various numbers etc. I will try and have a few words at a future gig.

Many thanks, once again for the great performance at Wycombe. I look forward to hearing more from you and to enjoying more memorable evenings in the future. With best wishes, Mark Thomas

The Brook - Portswood - Southampton
Jonathan Manning: 21 January - Just thought I'd say thanks for a great night at the Brook last night - not a bad turnout really considering the show had only been announced a few weeks ago and you hadn't played there before. Everyone that was there seemed to really enjoyed it and got nice and vocal as the evening got going! A great set list too - you all looked a bit knackered by the end of the evening especially Terry! I hope you enjoyed yourselves and please come back again soon. Cheers Jonathan

Paul Gath: 21 January - Just a very quick line to say how much I enjoyed last night's show at the Brook. The whole band was awesome - please pass on my thanks. Great set list too. One thing that really impressed was just how well you'd got the keyboards sounds to match the originals. Did you programme them yourselves, or do you use presets/samples? I saw the Kurz and Hammond keys, but couldn't see what else you were using. Anyway, thanks again for a great evening. Paul Gath

Stephen Hudson: 21 January - Hi Guys, Just wanted to say thanks for starting your 2005 season at 'The Brook' in Southampton, it was a great to see you last night. I think you had some real fans in the audience, particularly those standing downstairs. Terry looked exhausted after what must have been almost two and a half-hours on stage. Did you intend to do the second encore: Squonk seemed to be as much a surprise to you as it did to us! The rapport between you guys is great to watch. How does Jeff manage to smile and talk to Terry during his ‘Los Endos’ solo? Nice touch Terry giving Piers the 'flower' after he 'fluffed' the opening to 'Firth of Fifth'. I've seen G2 four times and Piers has always been perfect. As Terry said "Tony fluffed it on three consecutive nights" and he wrote it! See you again later in the year. Regards Stephen Hudson

Ron: 21 January - Guys, Saw you at The Brook in Southampton last night. Big fan of the original Genesis but never got to see them live - I wasn't sure how good you would be but you just blew me away! Look forward to seeing you again next time you are in the Southampton area. Ronnie Anderton

Stephen Leitch: 21 January - THANKS FOR AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT NIGHT AT THE BROOK. AGAIN THE PERFORMANCE OF EACH AND EVERY TRACK WAS SUPERB. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING YOU AGAIN AT HIGH WYCOMBE. THE LEITCH FAMILY

Mark Elling: 23 January - Hi All, Last Thursday myself, my brother and a friend were priviledged to attend your show. I had been telling my friend just how good G2 is since I saw you in Salisbury some 18 months ago. You didn't disappoint - in fact you were great - as usual doing Genesis great service by keeping the music alive for us to enjoy. The Brook is a slightly odd venue but you managed to capture the sometimes vocal crowd (I WISH THEY'D SHUT UP AND LISTEN!) and prove the complex rhythms and varied dynamics are a real challenge to play. I guess it can look quite easy when it's performed so passionately - even with some hesitant starts it was a joy to witness. Please keep it up! Continued success and hope you see you again soon somewhere in the South West. Best Regards, Mark Elling

Steve Fitton: 25 January - Hi G2 Crew. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed last weeks gig. Lights & sound were great... and all praise the Jeff. (How come he looks younger...?? must be the haircut!) Poor Piers... after Terry not knowing what was in the set list, Cinema Show (cough!), Chris with his "Blood on the Fretboard" Terry neatly set him up for the fall of the evening. 4 bars left..that's all.. poor chap. OK so there were a few minor hitches... but in all honesty it made it all the more intimate and fantastic. You could see that everyone in the band was having fun and for us mere mortals who wonder just how you create that sound, we felt like we were part of the whole experience. So thanks again. Keep up the great work. I'll be there at Wycombe and the word has been passed round. It looks like this time we'll be bringing at least 10 of us instead just two or four. Steve

Jo Denyer: 27 January - A belated BIG thank you for an amazing gig on 20th Jan at The Brook. We experienced the live sound we thought we'd never have the chance to hear. PLEASE come back again. Oh, and if anyone reading this is a Genesis fan but has their doubts, you are definitely missing out if you don't come along next time. Jo and brothers

Chris Chapman: 17 December - Hello, I was at your Gig at the Brook in Southampton tonight & just wanted to say, thank you, it was absolutely fantastic, the Trick of the Tail stuff, in particular, was spot on... Please come back soon. All the best, Chris Chapman.

Ivan McCullen: 17 December - Great gig last nite at the Brook. Hope to see ya again in the new year. Ivan.

Stephen Leitch: 17 December - To all of the G2 crew many thanks from myself and many friends who attended fridays gig at the brook for what was yet again a superb performance.you certainly won yourselves many new fans. a lot of people who were there were seeing you perform for the first time and having recently attended the RE-GENESIS gig were able to make there own judgement between yourselves and them. a difficult choice i know but you won them over not only by the way you performed but by the way you all enjoy yourselves as your doing so.

how can chris manage to laugh when he"s playing such complex pieces as he does?really enjoyed the acoustic numbers and the section from the lamb but best of all for me was suppers ready a true classic performed in great style! many people of all ages attended ranging from the ages of thirteen upwards even piers parents were there to witness his awesome skills on the keyboards. which im sure they must have witnessed before!what happened to terrys prized union jack shirt?wishing you all the very best for the colchester gig hope to see you all early next year.

Roger Marsland: 18 December - Hi Guys. A great show at The Brook on Friday. This is the 5th time that I have seen you but the first in a “music venue” rather than a theatre/hall – the atmosphere was great and it must be so much better for you than playing to a sparse audience in a large building as you have on occasions this year. I hope that you continue to seek out this type of more intimate places in 2006. The performance was as good as I have become accustomed to, with (in particular) Ripples and Suppers Ready being lifted to new heights by the “singalong” crowd!

You made reference, as you do on “G2Diary”, to changing the playlist for next year – my personal thoughts are that I would like to see the following considered/included:- Behind the Lines etc; One for the Vine; Mama; Home by the Sea; Land of Confusion; Domino. I also think that Turn It On Again should come back in, maybe as the encore. A minor observation on the “Your Views” page – to my mind this would be better in chronological order or town name rather than theatre name. Finally, many thanks for the pleasure that you have given me in 2005 and best wishes for a good 2006. Roger Marsland.

David John: 19 December - Hi Guys Saw you at the Brook on Friday –amazing performance!!!! Saw Genesis many times up to the Wind and Wuthering/Seconds Out tour, lost interest then when they sadly abandoned the musicianship for commercialism. Occasional flashes of inspiration – Home by the Sea for example Have you ever done that one? On Friday I was transported back to 1977, thankfully I still have hair! Needless to say I will be back to see you again next year and am looking forward with anticipation. Have a good Christmas. Regards Dave John.

Denise Hughes: 19 December - just a quickie to say how great the gig at Southampton was on Friday.. and how considerate of you to perform on that night when we just happened to be down there to collect our son from uni !!! (we live in Kent) .. £8.50 for the ticket, a bargain Travelodge room for £26 .. no better value for money i can think of !!! Really like the Brook as a venue too. I had to smile at one point as the girl (about 19 years old) next to me tapped me on the arm and said "do you know all these songs?" Er, just a bit !! You were talking of changing the set a little next year, but PLEASE don't stop playing Supper's Ready or Entangled.. we love everything else of course, but those two in particular. Well we wish you guys a very happy Christmas and New Year, and look forward to whenever we can see you in 2006. (Dartford.... Orchard Theatre, if you can!) love Dee and Alan.

Stephen Jervis: 20 December - Dear G2, Just a quick note, to say how much my wife and I enjoyed your gig at The Brook in Southampton last Fri night. Everyone in the band were brilliant, we were simply blown away with your magic! Please continue to perform the Gabriel/Hackett era tunes they are wonderful. Don't leave it too long before you come back this way again. Many thanks Steve Jervis - Winchester.

Heather Richards: 21 December - Thanks for a wonderful time at The Brook. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again as soon as possible! Hebsy.

Nigel Simpson: 22 December - Thank you, thank you for last Friday's gig at the Brook, Southampton, it was great to see and listen to you all again in stunned appreciation. You seemed to be enjoying yourselves as much as we were. At least I now have your DVD to tide me over until I am able to attend another gig. Happy Christmas and great New Year. Cheers, Nigel Simpson.

Theatr Brycheiniog - Brecon - Powys
Richard Davis: 19 February - Thanks David and the band you were brilliant. Five of us came from Hereford to see you for the first time. We'll have no hesitation seeing you again. Any chance you finding a venue in Hereford to play? I'm sure the turn out would be better. We have a theatre called the 'Courtyard' which is similar to the Brecon Theatre but they only seem to have the odd comedian and pantomime on, and I think it's about time the dinosaurs that run it utilised it better.

I play the guitar a little but your man is exceptional, especially mastering the sounds of Mr Hackett. Keyboard sounds couldn't have been anymore accurate. You all made it sound so easy which I know it isn't but that proves how good you are as a band. Very well rehearsed and attention to detail perfect! Thanks very much Richard Davis S We forgive your keyboard player for having a couple of mental blocks. It added actually to the authenticity if you get my drift..Tony couldn't have done it any better!

Steve Carrington: 19 February - I say your show in Brecon last night(18th) and being a life long Genesis fan(30 plus Genesis shows between 1971- 1992) am very sceptical of tribute bands. Fortunately your show totally blew my doubts out of the window. All the play list was genuinely magnificent and you are as good as the real thing if not better because Genesis as such do not exist. Keep on playing the classics, you are really good at them. I will be back to see you again and all my mates will be there as well. Many thanks for a great night remembering the Genesis classics, Steve Carrington. P.S. if you had played Abacab i would have cried.

Charles Young: 19 February - Dear David, just a line to thank you and the lads for another great gig. Sorry we didn't have time to chat, but we had to dash, although we did manage a few brief words with Terry, Chris and Piers beforehand. Hope we lived up to expectations, and remember there will always be a welcome in the hillsides for G2. Don't leave it too long because judging by the banter afterwards, there is certainly a thirst for more of the same. All the best for now, Charles. P.S.Live double cd-great!

Mark Davies: 19 February - Just a quick thank you for last nights concert in Brecon. It was a most enjoyable evening and I hope you will come to South Wales on your next tour despite the lack of numbers last night. I think everyone there was grateful you made the effort at such short notice. Once again thank you for an excellent show and hope to see you in the autumn Mark Davies

Richard Davis: 20 February - On Friday 18th February 2005 G2 came to the Theatre Bycheiniog, in Brecon. However there were times when I shut my eyes and thought I was in the presence of the real thing. This wasn't so much of a crowd of punters paying to see a band go through the motions but more of a evening of sharing. A sharing of a passion for the music of Genesis during what most would say were their best years - the 70's. There was no doubt that G2 love this music as I could see it written all over their faces.

However it isn't' the band alone that put on this superb show as credit should be given to the crew behind them. The volume and mix was spot on. I sat with my friends and we kept looking at each other with knowing nods and smiles as each song was perfectly reproduced. G2 are obviously fanatical about getting the sounds just right and the attention to details was beyond compare. 'Entangled' wasdealt with in a way that Genesis themselves would approve of. Even the harmonising voices were as per the original.

'Dancing with the moonlit knight' was fantastic - particular note should go to the accuracy of the keyboard sounds. Again we looked at each and just laughed with pleasure. My favourite, Fof was too good to be true and by then the band were in full swing. Everything about this show was a fitting memory to a band that will surely missed by all ages but with G2 on the circuit I know I can at least see a respectful, gutsy but sympathetic reproduction. Thank you G2 for a great show. Regards Richard Davis Hereford.

John Coward: 20 February - Dear David, I hugely enjoyed the show in Brecon, and by the looks of it, you did too. Your generosity in the length of your performance is also much appreciated. The only bit I didn't like was "the flower". It spoilt it somehow. I know that a lot of effort goes into what we see and hear, and I admire your commitment and the obvious collective intelligence. You each clearly make an important contribution to the whole - take any one of you away and the whole effort would flop. If, in the future, you're planning another concert in Cardiff/S.Wales, let me know and I can make suggestions for a venue that might be better than what you used last time. I very much look forward to the next show I can get too. John@Cardiff

Phil Edwards: 22 February - Dear Chaps. I was at the concert at Brecon last Friday with Richard who has already contacted you. From my perspective it was a brilliant concert and interpretation of the very best in Genesis. You may have heard me shout Abacab when you asked for requests. I was being flippant of course as like most Genesis fans I've never recovered from that experience. How a band of such depth could sink to such depths God only knows. Reading the inlay of the recent Platinum compilation Collins remarks on the fans views that he 'fucked up' Genesis. He certainly did that alright. Anyway, thank you for keeping the music alive and for wonderful musicianship. You could tell that the music meant as much to you as it did to the audience and i hope you tour this area again soon. Best wishes Phil Edwards

Tim Williams: 25 February - Please add me to your mailing list re news, tours etc. Saw G2 in Brecon last week, excellent gig, inspired choice of tracks. Tim Williams

The Twist - Colchester - Essex
Dave Mac: 20 December - Here it comes again... The set is pretty much as described on their website with a few omissions (i.e. no Eleventh, no Broadway Melody or Hairless Heart), and not so different from The Orchard in the summer. The venue is well suited to the type of gig we crave, empty enough for us to be comfortable at the front with beer in hand and in 'their' faces but full enough for 'them' to feel they are performing to a crowd; but that could be stretching the use of the word just a little. We were able to see the mistakes they made, which in a theatre would be missed from that distance, but unlike ITC these do not detract from the show because they do not threaten to bring the show down - we can almost enjoy the way they are relaxed enough to laugh between themselves at these errors. As 'The' fans and being so close may be it is only us that are picking these up?

While Terry certainly is from the PC school of singing (which is fine as their claim has always been such), I think he does lack Collins ability (or is it desire) to harmonize well around the melody and stick to the dots on the page. The obvious advantage over other tributes we have seen is his power to hit and hold the notes he has aimed for - plus the support the others give him so at times four voices singing and yet no use of personal monitors through headphones - called 'ears' on the trade BTW! One observation I have about Terry, and I think I said this after Dartford but have failed to find that email to be sure, was his enthusiasm seems to be waning somewhat from what I recall it used to be. When he said to us it was the last gig of the year, in fact it was the G2 Christmas party I though we might be in for the time of our life but he never mentioned it again - a missed opportunity but from where he stood that could have been the 'crowds' fault?

The drummer fits pretty much in with Terry, in as much that he knew what was required and did it well but not exceptionally but this could have been the venue and his sound not travelling well to the front because he was impressive at Dartford (lets blame the mixing desk). As I watched and listened to him I wondered if it would be different with another man on the skins, perhaps but as I said before the sign of a good drummer is that you don't notice him - i.e. he supports what the others do - rarely leading but there are exceptions.

Having been spoiled by the keyboards in ITC and the authenticity he gets from the instruments he uses/chooses G2 keyboards have a lot to live up to and were found wanting in parts - I think in terms of the sound more than the technical execution of what he did - although he did mess a bit more than ITC and he looked angry with himself when he did; although his colleagues smiled he chose not to. He did well with the intro of Watcher and Firth, the show pieces attracting adulation but then forgot that the bread and butter pieces need attention to.

Well bass and lead guitar, the Boss and the Star respectively, what can I tell you that you don't already know ? Even by the way they walk, "You can tell me by the way I walk", you know that they are assured and confident in what they going to deliver - and if you don't like what you hear from them there is something wrong with your memory of what it should sound like either that or your hearing; in any event it's definitely not their fault - its yours! "A young figure sits still by the pool, he's been stamped human bacon - he is you".

I did mention that I wondered if the acts see each other as competitors/teams in a competition that they want to win but I wouldn't sight that as a primary reason for my attendance - mine was simply a curiosity thing - but interesting that Dave Wilk (the Boss) chose not to answer when I asked him. "If you choose not to decide..." So here are my marks out of 10 - Twist 9, Lights 8, Sound 9, Lead guitar 11, Lead vocal 8.5, Bass 10, Keyboard 7.5, Drums 7, Entertainment 9.5 Flute 0 (Joke) I missed him, The Evening 10. On a purely personal level it was good night, which is why it's a shame you too couldn't make it, beginning with a civilised meal and then managing to fit in our darts in a strange town (the results irrelevant!) and the journey reminiscing about and enjoying the sound of Teseract followed by G2 what more could a man want? We will return to Colchester... "Lets Twist again..." Dave.

G2: To respond without getting buried in analysis. Overall I think the Twist was a bad choice. Too small and to flawed as a venue for us to completely relax and enjoy it. If we looked like we were happy that is because we were doing our best to deliver on your commitment and payment in attending, truthfully we hated it and the playing could not fully disguise that. Now on to that unanswered question - do we see the other G'Tribs as competition? No, everything we do in relation to this great material is about doing it justice, doing it well and giving it the live energy that it can so compositionally deliver. That means dedicating all our effort and intention to getting it as good as we can, if we spent any of that time thinking about the other G'Tribs we would be diluting that intention and that would not be a healthy place.

White Rock Theatre - White Rock - Hastings
David Rayfield: 02 October - Having seen you at the Leas Cliff in Folkestone last year I was so utterly amazed at the "true to form" sound of early Genesis. It is such a breath of air for me to be able to listen live to the music I was too young to ever go and see. However, having listened to you yesterday at the White Rock in Hastings, I was so in awe at how good guys are. I bought my 8 year old son and my sister-in-law (a BIG Genesis fan) and we had such an amazing time. You probably saw us upstairs singing away (sorry about that!). All I can say is very well done guys, long may you play and we will definitely be seeing you next time you're in Kent. (P.S. please play "The Knife")... Well done one and all... David Rayfield

David: 01 October - Hello again Terry, Well, what can I say another excellent concert you and the guys just get better every time I come to see you! sorry the hall wasn't totally full but the comments I heard from people and not only in the gents lol was really positive and ranged from how well you all play and the closeness to the original recordings and even "ooh they are so much better than pop stars today" Wet my self at that one I remember my parents saying that lol what it is to get old. You and the guys have my continued support and I appreciate your hard work and I can say I missed Genesis when they performed the material you play but I have no complaints what so ever except when do you don the foxes head LOL. All the best to you and the guys and good health and continued success to you all and see you hopefully in the near future. Regards David

Joyce Phillips: 02 October - Just a short message to let you and your fellow band members know how very much I and my family enjoyed last nights show, such a wealth of talent your drummer and keyboard player in particular watching was a great experience and my husband said it took away his feeling of gloom as his beloved CHARLTON LOST TO SPURS. This is no mean feat believe me. I shall log on to your website to see where you are performing and hope to catch you all again one day. Once again thank you for a very entertaining and enjoyable evening. Love Joy and the gang

Jim Lock: 02 October - Hi David, It's been a while. And after a fruitless wait for you chaps to pitch up somewhere within reasonable distance from Sunny Worthing enough was enough....so off to Hastings Saturday night and very glad I did. Great show, as ever, but not quite the same without "Wot Gorrilla" to open with - and definitely not the same without the odd pint or two (driving, you see)! Nevertheless, as I say great show. Those that stayed away missed a treat. At this rate I might even have to buy some merchandise from the website! All the best, hoping for an early return to somewhere closer to civilisation.... Jim

Kerstin Hinkley: 03 October - Thank you for another fabulous evening on Saturday. Travelled down to Hastings from Redhill with my husband Alan and good friend Nigel. Worth every moment of the 3 hour round trip. It is always an absolute treat to see you perform and we are never disappointed (saw you at Croydon & Dartford this year as well + various southern venues last year). Not only is it an absolute joy to hear you, but the lighting effects have come on really well since we first saw you at Epsom. The whole experience is just wonderful and I have Genesis songs going round in my head for days afterwards. We are always banging on to other people to come along and we'll keep trying... In the meantime, you can be sure we will be there at every opportunity we can manage. Please keep up the good work :-) Kerstin Hinkley

Jim Robinson: 04 October - Dear all, The business - again! Excellent show as always - Firth of Fith intro best ever, really good to meet you all and many to many thanks for the show. See you again soon. Jim Robinson

Wyvern Theatre - Theatre Square - Swindon
Robert Jones: 10 June - Thanks for a great show in Swindon last night. Well worth the journey from Wales, especially as you don't seem to be venturing over the bridge in the near future. Ripples & Moonlight Knight especially awesome. Many thanks again.

Nigel Simpson: 10 June - Please keep me updated on G2. Absolutely overwhelming gig last night in Swindon, thank you very, very much. Your mix of wonderfully authentic music, humour and only-too-obvious enjoyment culminated in the richly deserved standing ovation you received. Looking forward to seeing you again, hopefully in the Brook at Southampton. Well done. Cheers, Nigel Simpson

Dave Morgan: 10 June - Guys, Thanks for a superb evening at High Wycombe last month and last night in Swindon. Had to see you again after High Wycombe! Fantastic sound and light show, keep up the great work and come back to the west of London soon. Thanks Dave Morgan

Clive: 11 June - hello guys! saw you lot at the wyverne at swindon for the first time ever on thursday night. you were fantastic! please come back again soon. Clive Roger Marsland: 11 June - Guys – a brilliant show at Swindon on Thursday – thanks. This was the best by far of the four shows that I have seen since 2003. The biggest difference was the playlist – WotS is a great opener and Afterglow a dramatic conclusion to Part 1, sitting perfectly where it does on the album. The Lamb Lies Down sequence is always a favourite but on this occasion was blown away by Robbery, Assault and Battery which was awesome – the first time that I have seen you perform it, but hopefully not the last (please keep it in).

The lighting seemed to have moved up a notch or two as well, particularly for Afterglow which has great significance for those of us who were lucky enough to see the original. Terry’s singing is worthy of special mention as well – a very powerful performance. Good repartee with a receptive audience as well added up to a great night which you seemed to enjoy as much as we did which is great. Hope to catch you again later in the year. Best wishes. Roger Marsland

Steve Richardson: 13 June - just want to say the gig at swindon on thursday was the best genesis tribute gig i have ever seen. Have seen most of the bands and always thought re genesis the no 1 band. But not anymore you are without doubt the best for sound acuracey and playing ablity and piers is outstanding. Cant wait to see you again. Please keep it going. steve richardson

Owen: 14 June - I made it to Swindon, and I must say it was even better. I was at the very front so possibly that made a difference but the sound was great. I dragged three other people along and they really enjoyed it; great considering they are not even Genesis fans. Hope to see you all again sometime: unfortunately I think I will have to wait until Cannock. Still, as I rarely see a good band it's worth the wait! Regards, Owen

Michael Westbury: 17 June - Please keep me updated on G2 The recent concert at Swindon was excellent. Thanks

Bits'n'Bobs
Sue Prince: 21 January - Hi all We're coming to see you at Letchworth on 21st March, really looking forward to it. Saw you at Northampton last year you were great, My husband is a big Genesis fan and he was really impressed. Hopefully he can have a chat with you there!!! Sue Prince

Martin Billings: 28 January - Hello G2 We saw you at The Manor, Biggin Hill. a Couple of years ago and loved every minute.Could you please tell us when you are playing in or around the south east as we would love to see you again. We have some friends who live in Ireland and they will come over as we have dare I say sung your praises. Thanks for a great night out and we will look forward to seeing you soon Martin

Stephen Leitch: 20 February - THANKS FOR THE INFO ABOUT THE WELSH GIG. HAVE JUST RECEIVED AN INVITATION FROM A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN AT LETCHWORTH IN MARCH. HOPE YOUR HALF AS GOOD AS WHEN YOU PLAYED THE BROOK! HOPE THE GIG WENT OK AND YOU PLAYED THE LAMB SURELY A MUST IN WALES. (PARDON THE PUN} KEEP ON ROCKING GUYS.

Ivan McCullen: 17 April - I saw u perform at the brook in southampton.... Jan 2005 and was wondering if u will be back again...........brill performance. Ivan.

David Beedie: 13 May - Hi there, An old friend of mine went to see you guys recently at High Wycombe (I think) and reckoned that you were pretty damn good. We've both been into Genesis for years (too many years) and went to see Genesis a couple of times including the Genesis/Peter Gabriel reunion they did at Milton Keynes Bowl in 82 (I think). So if he reckon's you're good, I guess you must be good. Anyway, I now live in Perth Western Australia, and want to know if you have any plans to do any shows over here? Australia is afterall the home of tribute bands. If you do ever make it over here, be sure to let me know, I'll be first in line for tickets. David Beedie Perth WA

Michael Goodwin: 26 May - I saw you last autumn at the Derngate in Northampton. One word only needed: AWESOME. Would you please email me the exact programme that was played that night? See you again in November at Cannock. Michael Goodwin

Dave Mac: 05 June - Having seen you many times, and some of your competitors (do you view them as competitors I wonder ?) and will be there again at the end of June at The Orchard you now present us with a problem. In my opinion you guys are the best I have seen, ( a debate we have is could it be better than the real thing ((no that was U2)) because you are always playing what we want to hear when the real thing would play what they were trying to flog ?) but now you have become so successful that the venues you play are real theatres and the shows very professional.

The reason this is a problem is that part of the joy of a night out at a G2 show, or other tribute acts, was the fact they would be at 'spit'n'sawdust' type venues. Where we could let our hair down and release; helping Tony with the lyrics and the harmonies - but now we will have to sit down and be good because we have front row seats and no beer! So I have to sell, and sell hard, to my mates that it is still worth the effort to get there; so do The Riga at Southend soon. I suppose we could buy your DVD and drink at home but would it be the same? Dave Mac.

Michele: 23 June - hello, great work the dvd me it is enjoied with my friends, if do an other new dvd do know me, thanks michele and friends

Paul Conquest: 24 July - Hi G2, I saw you in Crawley, Sussex a couple of years ago with a fantastic show and hope you will return for anther gig soon. Any ideas when you will return to Crawley or at another venue in Sussex? Many thanks, Paul Conquest

Stefan Kaufmann: 06 October - Thank you, I got the DVD yesterday. I really like the performance and I am happy I have the video since it is not very likely that I can see a G2-concert soon in Switzerland. Greetings, Stefan

Michael Westbury: 18 December - Swindon & Cannock Gigs. Just wanted to say a big thank you for the two superb concerts of yours we saw this year. The quality of the whole performance was excellent. The feel of the set & choice of material makes for a great night out. The enthusiasm of you all does you credit & I trust we will see you continue for many years to come. All The Best. Mike & Geraldine
